Michael C Pinkus

CEO and Founder

As CEO of Risk Mitigation Systems, Michael is responsible for all operations of the company. Michael has 15 years experience in business and information technology systems. He has served in senior roles in both his own startup ventures as well as for major public corporations. Michael’s primary pedigree is in building software as a service (SaaS) systems which allow software delivery through a web based hosting model. His vision for Risk Mitigation Systems was to create a systems company focused on bridging the gap between established disparate incident management and communication tools and fusing them into unified, "living systems" that interact with their users to increase the effectiveness of organizational responses to a variety of incidents.

Brian Oravetz

VP Business Development and Founder

Brian has nine years of experience in the telecommunications and software industry and is also a veteran of the U.S. Army Infantry, in which he developed a very unique and effective blend of creative and operational strengths. As an effective business strategist and technical marketer, his vision has proven effective in the telecommunications, VoIP, and Data Security market segments. Brian's strategic approach to technical problem-solving and business process improvement was developed during his tenures at BellSouth Business Systems and at Interactive Intelligence. His combined experiences give Brian the unique ability to speak to users, technical professionals, or executives at any level.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree from DeVry University, and will begin working towards his Master of Business Administration degree during the summer 2008 term.

Steven Sieverts

Director of Product Development

Steven has over 15 years experience in the software development industry with the last 12 years concentrated on Microsoft technologies. His wide range of development capabilities include real-time systems, user interface design, client server development, database development, web application development, and system architecture.

He worked as a Senior Consultant for Elite Systems in Alpharetta, GA, specializing in multitier Microsoft .NET application development. With Elite, he worked on large scale projects in the Financial and Retail industries for such companies as Bank of New York, SunTrust Bank, and Shaw Industries. As a Senior Software Engineer at Scientific Games, Inc. he architected and developed the Retailer Licensing sub-system required for the Colorado implementation of the Aegis 3.0 Game Management Framework. In 2006, he leveraged his knowledge in the gaming industry to secure a position as a Senior Software Engineer for RealTime Gaming in Atlanta, GA, a maker of Online Casino software. He has also served as software engineer for United States Advanced Networks and worked in various positions developing software for the telecommunications industry.

Steven has a B.S. in Computer Science from Southern Polytechnic State University.

Charles Hollingsworth

Director of Database Architecture

Charles Hollingsworth is a senior software engineer for Risk Mitigation Systems with over 10 years experience developing software with Microsoft technologies. Throughout his career, Charles has specialized in developing and administering large SQL Server database OLTP and OLAP decision support systems. He has built large scale solutions in industries such as industrial property development, professional recruiting, financial services, online procurement, and online casinos.

Charles earned a BBA in Finance from the University Georgia in 1994 and an MBA in Computer Information Systems in 1997 from Georgia State University. He has recently completed a Master of Science in Managerial Science/Decision Science, as well as a Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean certification.

Russell Jackson

Chief Architect

Russell has over 20 years of professional experience as a software developer and systems analyst, with the last ten years exclusively spent designing and developing Microsoft based solutions. His strengths include business process analysis, and software development and deployment. He also possesses excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, and has experience conducting developer training and customer presentations.

Russell has extensive experience leading development teams in the creation of solutions for a variety of commercial and government customers. He has specialized in real-time solutions in the defense, nuclear plant monitoring and lottery industries, and has also worked in the healthcare and insurance fields.

Russell graduated Summa Cum Laude from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, and is currently working towards his Masters of Science in Computer Science.
